Is there a way to text to a phone from your computer? I hate texting from my phone and my friend loves to text, not talk.... Free would be nice, but if not.... it would be worth it to be able to type it.

wireless air cards like sprint, ATT and Verizon allow you to text through the connection.

maybe through your wireless provider website you could. for example you might have verizon wireless as your cellphone provider and go to your account online and access some form of texting there.

Your cell phone carrier on their site should have a spot that you can text from screen to one of their subscribers. I know that when I was with ATT I used it in the past and have used it with both Verizon and Sprint, but it can only be sent to their subscribers, if I understand the system correctly.

I've tried everything here and get nothing to work (tested by texting to my phone). I called AT&T, but their "tech" can't figure it out. Guess I will eventually get another phone with bigger buttons. I have a Samsung Magnet, now and the keys are tiny.
