As some of you know I have had one hell of a time with my health over the last couple of months. For those of you who don't know I had two nasty sinus infections on either side of a bout of H1N1. I was on an antibiotic for the sinus infection and then switched to an antiviral for the H1N1.

This is where I made my mistake and stopped taking the antibiotic. This gave the sinus infection enough time to regroup and get stronger. I was put on another antibiotic to get rid of the sinus infection again. Over the course of this time I had a bad reaction to the drugs a couple of times. Those of you that know me will recall a very good friend of mine came over until midnight for coffee because my family was in NY. (Love you Tink!!)

Ok, so about now you are thinking "so what!" and wondering what this has to do with Dr. Walkenstein. She was my doctor throughout the entire episode. I can assure you I have been a pain in the ass. I have called her countless times after hours complaining of some new development. As Tink can attest she calls back so quickly it would make your head spin. This has been my experience EVERY time I called her. People I have been sick for almost two months!!

She is always kind and very caring each time I have spoken to her. She has a great bedside manner. (NO BELLE THIS DOES NOT MEAN SEX!) I even called her on New Years Eve...and she answered. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor. She is accessible, friendly, kind, caring and extremely attentive.

If you are in need of a great physician do yourself a favor and come see Dr. Walkenstein at Aston Medical Associates.

Great recommendation! Word of mouth, or in this case, a very public testimonial goes a long way.

If I didn't love my doctor, Dr. Saunderson, so much, I would consider her. I will remember her name for people looking for a new doctor, like my sister!!! I am so glad your getting/feeling better. I was sick over the holidays and it was not pretty! Still recouping from it, good days bad days....

GL - you hit the nail on the head. I have found a great doctor and am spreading the word. I want everyone to experience the same great care I have. I quite literally had bad reactions to two drugs and she was right there for me....after hours. I swear when I leave a request for her to call me when she is on call I have yet to wait a 1/2 hour for a response. In the past I would have waited hours.

I have a great doc in my area - I keep an on-line health/medical journal that he has a password to and every so often he pops in and gives feedback... for FREE. You can't beat that personal care these days.
