Just found my way over here from a link someone sent me on Facebook. We're an historic site in Horsham, PA (Montgomery County) just north of Philadelphia.

I also started a group on "Things to Do in PA for Families" if there are other attractions here that want to chime in or if members/users have favorite places they'd recommend for families and would like to post about them there please feel free to join the group.

tell us more about your Graeme Park. Is it a family oriented place too? Like the group you started?

And is your group for family things incluse places like Dorney Park? Franklin Institute?

Yes, Graeme Park is an historic site in Horsham, just north of Philadelphia with great architecture and interesting people who lived here in the 1700s - a PA governor, Sir William Keith, his son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Graeme, and Graeme's daughter, Elizabeth Graeme Fergusson, who was a noted writer/poet.

We give tours of the historic house - usually not too busy so most tours are just one party which is great because we can tailor it a little better to kids and special interests. We also have picnic tables, a nature trail, pond, etc. so it is a nice place to just hang out, walk the dog, explore with the kids, etc. We used to have a letterbox or two on the property too if people do that - I think they're still out there, haven't been checked in awhile.

Amusement parks, etc. are more than welcome to participate in the group - it is sometimes hard to find the "institutional" users of social media, so I thought it would be a good idea, and also just individuals who want to recommend a favorite place or get ideas of were to go with the family.

Welcome Graemepark!

So they say! Since shortly after Elizabeth died in 1801 there have been reports that she is still at Graeme Park. Her friend Eliza Stedman reported "passing her on thet stairs" shortly after her death, and we've smelled flowery smells in the house and frequently have problems with the alarm systems as a result of perceived "motion" in her room and the hall just outside of it. I did a Squidoo lens on some of the things that have been reported or have experienced - not sure if I can post a link here to another site, but if you search over there I'm sure you'll find it.

I am from Allentown and am in the process of planning an indoor amusement park in the Lehigh Valley. I graduated from Penn State with a degree in Recreation Park Management. I have a team of 10 of us working on the start up of this new park.
