I can remember growing up and my mom watching Julia Child on TV. I think she came on PBS. For some reason I too found her fascinating and often I found myself watching her show.

So when I heard about this movie Julie & Julia, I knew that this would be a movie that I wanted to see.

The movie stars Meryl Streep as Julia Child and Amy Adams as Julie Powell. The movie was a delight to watch.

Loved the movie, Amy's handbag, and the 2 marriages depicted. It was a happy movie for me.

What the F David Blaine?

I just saw this last night! It's now officially my favorite Meryl Streep role ever. Loved the "Julia" parts especially--I think it was Stanley Tucci as Paul Child, and Jane Lynch so much fun as Julia's sister, Dorothy. (The short scenes with Dorothy in them, I think, might be remembered as some of my favorite movie scenes of all time...just delightful...or, I thought so, anyway.)

It might not go on my all-time favorite movie list, but I still felt it was a hundred per cent worth seeing.

I loved that movie and I loved Julia as a child
if you come across some of her re runs watch them. I forgot how funny she was. little wine for the sauce, a little wine for me.

I think I have two--is it "seasons"?--of her on DVD. Thank you for reminding us. Have really liked watching those!

Okay,I`ll admit I liked the movie.Meryl hit a home run with this portrayal.
