It is that time of year again where my friend is starting up the NASCAR fantasy league. It is a pay league where it will cost $40.00 for the season to play.

See the info below and if you are interested, PM me and I will pass on the Group ID and the password and the contact info to send payment.


Yahoo has given a little different look than in past years. The cost will still be $ 40.00 Per Team ( The payment is due by 3-1-2009 ).

When you are signing up Please include your e-mail. Also, When you send your money please include your address, phone, & e-mail in case we need to reach you.

The league is open to everyone. Our goal is to do better than last year.

Weekly Ties: Last year we had a Tie Breaker system that I feel worked very well. We will be doing the same again this year. If two or more teams Tie a week, The team with the higher points the following week will be the winner. Please note: If you are a team involved in a tie & you lose the week due to the points, & you are a team that makes the chase.. Your BONUS POINTS are still counted.

Please be mindful of Nascar Qualifing. I had heard that Nascar may Qualify the day before the race. This is important when choosing your drivers each week. If you have too, make a mark on your calander or when you sign up, click the reminder. Yahoo will e-mail you.

Bud Shootout is Feb 7. Points Racing, the Daytona 500 starts Feb 15.

I finished the season with 14 Top 10's, 7 top 5's and 2 wins. I made the chase and finished 10th in points.

Not a bad season. Money wise I won more than I paid to enter.

Coming out ahead is always a good thing.

Welcome to NASCAR 2010. The cost per team will be the same as 2009 $40.00 This is due by the First week of March. It does not appear that there will be any changes from 2009. The top twelve will make the chase & we will have weekly winners. ( Weekly winners will be paid at the end of the season). The Tie Beaker system will remain in place. GL, my mom is looking for the Silly Season 2010 list, do you know where I can find it on the nascar.com website? or the newest driver list? They make it hard to dins anything around all the advertisements.

In all seriousness, there has been so many changes in the off season (rules, drivers, cars, teams) and changes coming in the near future (cars go back to a spoiler and lose the wing in March) that really it could all come down to dumb luck.

Basically, how Yahoo works it is drivers are broken down into 3 groups.

in group A you have your Tony Stewarts, Jeff Gordons and Jimmie Johnsons.

in group B you have Ambrose, Logano and Truex Jr's

in group C you have Allmendinger, Waltrip and Said's

Now in all groups you can pick a driver a maximum of 8 races. So you have to be careful how you use them throughout the season.

In group A you can pick 2 drivers to start the race, 4 drivers in group B and 2 in group C. These 8 drivers can earn you points during qualifying but come race day you have to pick 1 A driver 2 B drivers and 1 C driver to get points for the race.
