My husband is a Dolphins fan... I am a Saints fan. (Thank you Dolphins for taking Ricky Williams). Every so often, the Dolphins and the Saints play each other (this year the Saints lost to the Dolphins in pre-season).
We have a Saints/Dolphins game coming up on the 25th...
Our house becomes a war zone. We scream about each others teams and make snide comments on "Who would pick..... for their team anyway, but a dumbass" We throw things, kick things, punch pillows, the whole nine yards.... Then, when all is over, we are back to our normal selves like nothing happened... maybe with a little ribbing to the fan of the losing team, but it is all in fun and we take it well.
Does anyone else suffer through this during the football season?

No conflicts anywhere for me. I'm a Steelers fan, everyone in my family are Steelers fans, but the Eagles are my second favorite team (same with all of my family) so I'm always alongside Eagles fans cheering for them (unless they play the Steelers). My big thing is college football, though. In the NFL, I only watch Steelers, sometimes the Eagles, playoffs, and the Superbowl (hoping that one or more of those two are in the Superbowl). But in college ball, I'm suckering my family into bets by painting an inaccurate picture using facts, such as convincing my mom to take 17 and below against Eastern Illinois.

I had a cat that loved hockey and football... She would chase the players on the TV and bat at them... soon as she heard a game on, she would come running.

No conflicts at my house we all like football. However if the Phillies are playing its a different story. Just keep flipping back and fourth.

My GirlKitty likes hockey, too. And unlike half of the U.S. population, she is able to follow the puck.
No football conflicts at our house. If the Browns are on TV, we watch. If the Browns are on the radio, we listen. The fiance thinks the Eagles and their little soap operas are ridiculous anyway; he's more of a baseball fan.

Okay... I just HAD to turn on the Colts/Patriots game last night... and the Colts were down. And, I was happy. But, boy did they turn it around in the last quarter. I should NOT have watched that game.
Good news? The Saints are 9-0, too. I don't know if that is because they are playing good football, or if they have just been getting real lucky, but I will take what I can get. Oh, to see them in a Superbowl (not just the playoffs) this year!!!

you know it is tough to make your football picks when both teams are 1-8 and it is really a toss of the coin as to which one could win.

The irony is ... The last time the Browns looked good was in this year's pre-season win over the Lions. Argh.

I remember when the Saints were that bad... I am in my glory, now... Just for how long is the question.
