WYALUSING, Pa. — The 91-year-old widow lived by herself in a tumbledown house on a desolate country road. But she wasn't alone, not really, not as long as she could visit her husband and twin sister.
No matter they were already dead. Jean Stevens simply had their embalmed corpses dug up and stored them at her house — in the case of her late husband, for more than a decade — tending to the remains as best she could until police were finally tipped off last month.

I read this in the paper this morning. Caught my eye that they were going to make a decision on charges. I don't think she should be charged with anything. I know there will be those who disagree. I think it's more a shame that she wasn't able to die before the bodies were discovered. If my wife wants to keep my body around, she's welcome to it. Somehow I doubt she'll want to do that...

This article is very disturbing. I feel sorry for the woman that she felt the need to go to such extremes but I cannot relate to her one bit. Keep the memories of the person alive in your head. The body is just the vehicle of the inner person you loved. Let it go back to dust in the proper burial space, not your couch.

It is disturbing and my heart goes out to her. Would you charge her with anything?

Nor do I. How do you jail a woman of this age who thinks she did the right thing? The one who should be charged is the person who dug up those bodies for her. This is just too creepy for me.

I think she's nuts, but I don't think she should be charged with anything. People keep dead animals around their houses, why not people.

Nah there is no sense in charging her with anything. She's a sad old woman. Gotta use some discretion as a prosecutor even if she technically broke some laws.

He could put 'em back under and double the charges.
He's making money, even at the the frequent flyer rate.

Don't you mean the 'Frequent Dier Rate'?
Damn, tried to make that funny but the spelling just isn't right.

You made the point and it is funny. I still want to know what kind of goule would dig those bodies up for her.
