I think it was proven that it is a optical illusion, good write up though. Now can i have a link on your site?

It's one of those things that we know is an optical illusion, but tough to conclusively prove. A lot of people use a level as proof, but the inside of a level is liquid, like the water people pour to show it flowing uphill. Best way to prove it is with a satellite map showing topography.

I visited a similar place in Scotland I think it's called the Electric Brae. My grandfather told us about it as kids and he said you had to peddle your bike down hill and cost up hill. When we were there my dad had to accelerate to go down and brake going up. It is a very weird sensation. I'll check the spelling as I'm not sure thats right but the place does exist.
You really should google it, there is a video thats worth watching.

I watched something that showed an old house like this. Everything felt tilted but you were pulled the opposite way in the tilt. Weird!

I saw something similar to this in a cave just South East of Pittsburgh. In the cave on a hill the tour guide dropped a ball and it appeared to roll easily up hill.
Very cool.

There's supposedly a bunch of these in Erie County as well. I've probably tried 80 percent of them ... I spent much of my teenagehood trying to defy gravity, one way or another ...

Oct 23rd or thereabouts is the date of the last direct flights to Scotland HE , after that you need to go via London.
Ayr has a really nice beach and some great clubs and pubs.

Hello,
I'm heading to Frackville to visit my grand fathers' grave and would love to visit gravity hill again. I was there when I was a child and don't remember how to get there. Would you be able to tell me where it is?

Welcome Marc Perk to TalkPa.net. I am not sure how to get there but there are a few here from that area that should be able to tell you how to get there!

Welcome to TalkPA....
Address:Gravity Hill Rd., New Paris, PADirections:North from Schellsburg on Hwy 96, about 4 miles. Left onto Bethel Hollow Rd., just before the bridge. Drive 6/10s of a mile, then bear left at the Y, then 1.5 miles more. Make a right at the intersection onto Gravity Hill Rd. A "GH" is spray-painted on the road 2/10s of a mile in, a second is 1/10 further. Take your foot off of the brake at the second "GH" and roll backwards, uphill. There's also a second, lesser gravity hill 3/10 of a mile past the second GH. Stop at the telephone pole marked "69" and roll uphill again. New Paris, PA - Gravity Hill
