I had a thought - what about 4 seasons shots of that same place? Your photos give me a feeling of peace and the dormancy of winter. Where are these taken Val?

Thanks Rusty!
Not far from me, near Carbondale in PA. Good idea on the seasonal shots, I may just try that.

I want to live there!!!
Great shots, Valkyrie... good idea, Rusty.... I would love to see the fall colors in those shots - can't wait till spring to see what you get...
That cardinal was absolutely VIBRANT.

You know what? Neither can I, no time and money is tight. I took Orion's advice. Just go out and shoot. That's what I've been doing. If something catches my eye, I'm all over it. Someone else told me to take more than one picture of the same thing, and at different angles.

Great captures Valkyrie. I like number 3 in your B&W series.
Keep shooting and yes try different angles. Naomi listed some great reference books.

Nice pictures Val. I also like the black and white photos. I do scrap booking and love the black and white pics. I use a special pen to color in an object in the picture. An example would be kids playing with a red ball...black and white picture with the ball being colored in red.

Those are SOME beautiful pictures Kamma. That toad motel is the cutest thing. Not sure where that is but I don't get around that much... maybe I should. It looks beautifully rustic to me.
