    Murder

As I've stated previously the use of deadly force is disproportionate to the situation at hand. Stopped for a broken taillight, wanted on a warrant out of family court, tased & then shot in the back running away.

The Supreme Court has held that an officer may use deadly force against a fleeing suspect only when there is probable cause that he “poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others.”
I say that the Supreme Court was and is wrong in their ruling. No suspect unless they have already previously caused death or serious injury should be tasered or shot while fleeing. Too many police officers use force instead of physical exertion to apprehend minor suspects. Rightfully this suspect has been charged with murder. Top that off with evidence tampering for his attempt to plant the taser close to the suspect. For his actions he should be executed. Nothing is worse than abuse of power and this cop/killer did all he could to do just that. The other officer that was present when the taser was thrown down should also be charged IF he did not make it immediately clear to his superiors that this was done.

    Video from NYT.

Typical brainless comment. Suppose a fleeing individual has not previously caused death or serious injury but is running towards a school while aimlessly firing a gun? You believe that the officer should allow the individual to kill children BEFORE doing something? You're a fool.

No question about that. Interesting to consider what would have happened had there not been a video.

Can't happen. Schools are "gun free zones" and we all know criminals follow the law. Just ask tarkus1. He wants to pass more gun laws/regulations.

    Re: Murder

I think the Supreme Court wording makes sense. But that was apparently NOT the case here. This guy will not get the kind of support of that officer Williams rightfully received.

From what we see so far, this guy should be prosecuted. Not sure of the correct charge, but murder doesn't seem unreasonable. This is the kind of behavior that diminishes respect for Law Enforcement Officers. He must pay for his crime for the sake of the victim's family, and for the sake of society as a whole.

Brainless? No, just not complete and thought that an active crime would be obvious to everyone as being a reason to pursue with force. Except for an idiot like you, obviously.
