Pope Francis Offers America's Illegal Immigrants Refuge In Vatican City.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into his comments, but that's how I see it.

Pope Francis has been vocal about the treatment of immigrants since he became the head of the Roman Catholic Church in March 2013. Last year, he called the surge of Central American children crossing the border into the United States a “humanitarian emergency.” In a June encyclical letter on climate change, Francis noted the “tragic rise” of immigrants fleeing poverty.
The Holy Father would enter the United States by crossing the Mexican border if he had the time, according to Cardinal Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga, the head of a papal advisory group of cardinals, during remarks in March before a Georgetown University audience.
McGovern, one of 169 Catholics in Congress, noted many Catholics might not be familiar with the church's catechism that “more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood, which he cannot find in his country of origin.”

Shouldn't the focus of the pontiff be on the oppression citizens of the socialist cesspools of Central and South America suffer, to the point that they flee their homes in search of a better life? Don't get me wrong, the Catholic church does a lot for the oppressed and sick, but what happens if trains loaded with people start pouring over the Vatican city limits and demand homes, employment and social services?

Unfortunately for all the discussion concerning immigration into this country itself is broken, not the immigration system. Those claiming the system is broken are only those that want to use the system for their own purpose but find that if they follow the law like thousands of others do they are unable to achieve their goals. The system works well if followed, it doesn't if it is ignored. Out of an office of 41 personnel we have 7 people that immigrated to this country legally, and 5 that are first generation children of people that immigrated to this country legally. There is NO excuse to be in this country illegally.

Also instead of stating that our system is wrong the pope should address the root cause of the illegal immigration stemming from his own home country where he is personally hiding a good friend and priest from charges of molestation all the while continuing to downplay the cases being brought against the catholic church stemming from decades of catholic run hospitals kidnapping and selling newborns by telling the mothers that their babies died. Take care of your own problems instead of worrying about others.

With margins compressed to commodity levels, buying more consumers via mergers is simpler than appealing to them with better products, to the extent the latter is still legal.

Oh, and we are not the most prosperous country in the world, not even close. We're living on credit that we have no chance to repay and the cost of providing for illegal aliens only makes that matter worse. The vatican happens to be in the top 1% of the most prosperous nations in the world, let them take in all the illegal immigrants from America.

Why not give them all "Faith Without Works Is Dead" T-shirts and deliver them to the pope's doorstep?
