I sense a trend here..My pop was my hero. Little girls tend to put their dads on a pedestal but somehow when the girls get to be teens the dads end up falling off the pedestal. My pop never fell off. <-- that was my pop!!

Christ is my hero. Anyone who die for me, never having met me, so that I don't have to spend eternity south of the equator is good in my book.

My son. I grew up with him. I had him young. He was my whole life. He is currently serving in Afghanistan. This is his second tour. I am proud of all my children, but because he came into my life at such a young age for me, he helped me grow up real fast.
I love u Josh, and I miss u dearly.

... you...!
kind of unexpectedly blown away by the above posts (in a really good way)....
(was just playing--putting off preparing some currants for winter, which will drag myself away to do in a second...I love a lot of berries, but currants aren't really one of them; they're kind of a chore! everything about them...picking them, having to put on boots that are hopefully snakeproof...stripping them...ugh. We don't need them now for immediate use, but they'll be nice for smoothies in winter--)
...but some really nice posts on this thread...it was inspiring stopping by here....

I dated Minnie (the person in the suit) for a while. She really was a character.

Parents who love and raise and nourish their children,
